*Note: Projects/Initiatives/PutraMOOC courses that have won previous PICTL are not allowed to participate in this round competition.

BEST INNOCREATIVE EDUCATOR
IN PUTRAMOOC

PutraMOOC course is one of the initiatives on global online learning in UPM. Effective instructional design of the PutraMOOC course is one of the key factors to success of online learners achievement.

Terms of Application

1.    Application is open to either individuals or group of academic staff in UPM.
2.   The PutraMOOC should have an active status on the year of application.
3.   Only courses that achieved PutraMOOC quality standard are eligible for the award consideration.

Judging

Evaluation is based on the following:
1.   Instructional materials (25%)
        • Choice of instructional materials are aligned with learning outcomes.
        • Use variety of learning materials.
        • Appropriate choices have been made with regard to the use of media and techniques.
2.   Course learning activities (25%)
        • Variation and aligned to learning outcomes
3.   Assessment (25%)
        • Assessment are meaningful, purposeful and relevant to learning outcomes.
4.   Design and layout (25%)
        • The design of the PutraMOOC course encourages learning engagement.
        • The design of the PutraMOOC course encourages collaboration between learners.

BEST INNOCREATIVE EDUCATOR IN TRANSFORMATIVE TEACHING

Transformation of teaching methods either in the form of interactive lectures or without lectures. This category focuses on teaching methods aimed at increasing student engagement and achievement their learning.

Application is open to either individuals or group of academic staff in UPM.

Judging

Evaluation is based on the following:
1. Rationale - (10%)
2. Approach - (40%)
3. Students' involvement - (20%)
4. Impact on students' learning process - (30%)

BEST INNOCREATIVE EDUCATOR IN IMMERSIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Application is open to either individuals or group of academic staff in UPM.

Virtual Immersive Learning Experience (Virtual approach means >80% of students’ learning time (SLT) takes place digitally and virtually)

"Virtual Immersive Learning Experience" refers to learning activity with >80% student learning time (SLT) conducted virtually. A virtual approaches or applications that are able to provide an immersive learning experience with positive impacts on students' learning experience and achievement. Examples: VR/AR/Virtual Simulation/ MOOCs/LMS.

Blended Immersive Learning Experience (Blended approach means about 30% to 80% of SLT takes place digitally and virtually)

"Blended Immersive Learning Experience" refers to learning activities with 30% to 80% student learning time (SLT) conducted virtually. Blended immersive learning experience combines online and face-to-face learning to provide a profound impact on students' learning experiences and achievement. Example: Blended Learning/Flipped Classroom.

Face-to-face Immersive Learning Experience (Face-to-face approach means >80% SLT takes place face-to-face)

Face-to-face Immersive Learning Experience refers to learning activity with >70% student learning time (SLT) conducted via face-to-face learning session. Immersive learning model / approach through face-to-face activities that have a positive impact on students' learning 2 experiences and achievement. Examples: Service-based Learning, Community-based Learning, Challenge- based Learning, Work-based Learning, Problem-based Learning.

3.    Students' involvement - (30%)
4.    Impact on students' learning process - (30%)

BEST INNOCREATIVE EDUCATOR IN ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT

Alternative Assessment refers to unconventional assessment methods such as pencil and paper. These methods may include summative, formative, authentic or other assessment methods that successfully transform students learning experiences, particularly the achievement of learning outcomes.

Judging

Evaluation is based on the following:
1. Rationale - (10%)
2. Approach - (30%)
3. Students' involvement - (20%)
4. Impact on students' learning process - (30%)
